About TiempoTracker

A time tracker built to stay useful.

TiempoTracker is a simple, personal record of work—built for tracking time, creating invoices, and preserving the professional history behind the hours.

Why I built TiempoTracker

I started building TiempoTracker in mid-2025 because I needed it myself. As a contractor, I was recording time in one place, preparing invoices in another, and sometimes maintaining a separate spreadsheet for each client. When I was working with two clients at the same time, the administration grew quickly. I wanted a simpler time and invoicing tool—not every bell and whistle under the moon.

Once I was already recording the work, I realized I wanted to preserve more than hours. I wanted to keep the highlights: what I accomplished, what I learned, and the work I would want to remember later.

Early in my career, a boss told me to keep a brag sheet for performance reviews. The idea stayed with me. A factual work history can help you update a résumé, prepare for a review or promotion, and see where you want to improve next.

Simple by design

TiempoTracker deliberately avoids every possible option and heavyweight project management. That constraint is intentional: a focused tool stays easier to rely on than a system that tries to do everything.

Simplicity is not a sign that the product is unfinished. Useful customer feedback can justify carefully selected additions when they fit the product. Additions still have to earn their place.

A professional history that belongs to the person

  1. 01

    Your record belongs to you.

TiempoTracker is personal-to-the-user software, not employer-owned workforce software. It is built for the person doing the work.

  2. 02

    Never employee surveillance.

TiempoTracker is not a way for an employer to monitor, rank, or score people.

  3. 03

Hours provide context, not a productivity score.

Duration helps explain the work. It does not determine the value of the person or the contribution.

  4. 04

You decide what to preserve and share.

Accomplishments, highlights, learning, reports, invoices, and exports remain under your judgment.

  5. 05

Simple by design, responsive to useful feedback.

Additions must earn their place in the product.
